The Big Picture
As the league heats up and the places for Play-Offs continue, KKR and RR face each other in what promises to be a thrilling encounter between them at the Eden Gardens. Both the sides are on the up after wins in their last game.
KKR blasted away KXIP and RR produced a heroic performance against MI. Both the sides are trying to finish the season with all their potential. Both the captains will play this game like a title decider. And, now it will be the biggest test of Kartik’s nascent captaincy career.
KKR and RR have both been good in patches. RR have dominated games after their masterstroke decision to promote Buttler up the table. KKR will rely heavily on their top order to play like they did in the last game. Naraine has been a surprise hit and it has paid off well for the Shah Rukh Khan-owned franchise.
- Expect both teams to remain unchanged. An emphatic win on the part of KKR must compel the team not to alter their combination.
- RR has been on a good run and will not look to change as well.
KKR: Lynn, Naraine, Uthappa, Kartik(c&wk), Russel, Rana, Gill, Searles, Chawla, Yadav, Krishna
RR: Short, Buttler (wk), Rahane, Samson, Stokes, Binny, Archer, Gowtham, Gopal, Unakdat, Kulkarni
KKR: Naraine has been the surprise find and he has to be the one that gives KKR a good start. As a bowler, even he’ll be important to the team.
Dinesh Kartik. Could be the biggest for him in this season as a captain and he must lead from the front.
RR: Buttler. Been in fine form after being promoted up the order. Would look to capitalize on his match-winning innings at Mumbai.
Jofra Archer: The bowler that will look to dismantle the threat at the top and continue to keep his fine form up.
Wicket-keeper: Jos Buttler without a doubt after his heroics up top.
Top Order: Lynn, Uthappa, Kartik, and Samson look to be the best from the rest.
All-rounders: Russel, Naraine, and Rana will be our picks for today.
Bowlers: Archer, Chawla, Unakdat complete our fantasy dream 11.
